Fun Stuff At The Park

When I went to the park this past weekend, there was a lot going on. Lots of people out on a really nice day: people exercising and playing, hanging out, reading, taking naps. It was great. I did a little exploring off my blanket, and had my first encounter with grass. I took a close look 'cause it is pretty interesting!

We also went to the Eastern Market where they have all sorts of fresh food things. My mom was eating something, and it looked pretty cool so I grabbed it myself. She let me try it out and I chowed down on it! Now I have learned that apples are pretty tasty!

It's my half birthday!

I''m 6 months old today! I am a big boy and I am starting to do lots of new things!

The first big boy thing I did was eat cereal! Yummy! It was tasty and fun all at the same time. My daddy thinks I got more of it on my face then in my mouth, but I will get the hang of it soon.

It was a busy weekend with my babysitters.

I had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa and they even brought me a new toy that makes lots of noise! It is a steering wheel that lights up and beeps and all sorts of stuff. It plays a little 10 sec. song over and over everytime you push a button or move the wheel, and I just can't get enough of it! Maybe this is the thing that start me on my way to being a Formula One driver?

As usual, I got to hear all kinds of funny stories about my parents when they were out at their friends' wedding reception. :)

Another exciting weekend!

I had such a fun weekend with my grandparents. They came to baby-sit me so my Mommy and Daddy could go to their friends' wedding. They said they had a great time because it was the first time they went out without me and they knew I was in good hands back at home!

Yeah, it's Friday and I am so excited becuase my grandparents are coming all the way from Georgia to see me!

So....I got to go on another trip and this time I flew to Mattoon, Il and got to go swimming again. I felt so cool chillin in my very own float with my sunglasses on soakin in some Illinois sun!

My wild weekend!

I went to my first football game this weekend! I watched the Mattoon Breakers beat their rival from accross town. The best part of the whole day was posing with the cheerleaders! Wow am I one lucky liitle guy:) My cousin Kari is a part of the squad and is holding me in front of all these pretty girls!

As you all know, I was born in our Nation's Capital, so I like to show my USA pride with my outfits. I am a patriotic little man!

I got my own seat at the table and I am hanging out with mom and dad at dinner time. Not sure what they are putting in their mouths, but it sure looks like fun!

It is really hot here in DC this weekend so me and my dad are in the basement playing some XBOX. This racing game is pretty intense!

Bestefar and his Barnebarne

Here is Bestefar and all of his barnebarne (grandchildren, for those non Norwegians!) We are just coming back from church and breakfast dressed in our Sunday best!

Relaxing by the pool... This is my first time in the big pool and boy do I love splashing around in the water and of course soaking up the midwest sun on my raft! This is the life; now I just need my parents to get us a pool at home! :)

Back from my first vacation!

This week I promise to have lots of updates, because I did a lot of new things over the weekend! I went to Chicago and had a lot of fun, so keep checking back...

Look at all those big buildings! I don't see those back home in Washington, DC because they won't let anything get built taller than the Capitol.

Where have I been?

Have you been wondering where I have been? Well I was on vacation in Chicago and let me tell you did I had an exciting time. I have so much to tell you and show you so fasten your seat belts! I did on my first plane ride and it was great! Stay tuned...

Back to my old self!

Why not a lot of pictures this week? Well, my parents took me to The Picture People to have fancy pictures made. They were OK, but my parents take pretty good pictures. Anyway, I had a lot of fun smiling for the pretty lady - she made me laugh!

I am feeling better here and back to playing, but I wasn't feeling so good this week with a cold and then I had to get my 4 month shots on Friday - what a way to start the weekend! Today was much better and I feel back to my normal self.

Playing in style!

So I have been so busy with school and my tummy time this week that I haven't had a chance to tell you all what I have been up to. Well, my mom took me to my favorite store; you know, Babies R Us and got me these cool sunglasses! Here I am sporting my new shades and playing with my favorite toy that my cousins Kari and Kirsti got me - a banana!

This weekend I have worked even more on tummy time and rolling over. I am getting very good at it, and I know get a huge kick out of hanging out on my tummy and looking around. It makes me very happy and I see the world in a whole new perspective now! Check me out!

I think everyone will agree 3 day weekends are the best! We had such a good time!

Tummy Time is fun!

I had quite a holiday weekend in our nation's capital. My parents had me doing all sorts of things, from watching parades to seeing fireworks. It is great living on Capitol Hill and being able to walk all over and see these cool things.

I also worked a lot on my fitness program. Now that I found out how cool it is to be on my stomach, I can't get enough! I can see a lot more of what is going on and wow does it tire me out!

After I was on my tummy I would roll on my back and do it all over again!

Here I am getting baptized while Aunt Sonja and Aunt Cora held me. It wasn't too bad because the pastor was really nice, there were really pretty lights to look at, and l like water!

I was pretty worn out after the whole cermony so I wasn't up for pictures, but here are my godparents (yeah I am lucky I get 2 sets!!) and my mom and dad.

I have cousins!

I got to meet my cousins for the first time! We had great time together, and I can't wait until I am older and can play even more. Of course, The Lemon Man had to weasel in on picture taking...

Kari had a great time visiting me and D.C. She got a little sun-burned, but nothing too bad. No worries for me when she held me.

Kirsti did a really good job of holding me, and she always made sure I was happy when we were riding in the car going someplace.

Aunts and Uncles are cool.

My Uncle Jim is pretty good at holding me. I was very comfortable hanging out in his lap.

My Aunt Cora and Uncle Jim were nice enough to read to me for a while. I was very interested in whatever it was they were reading me.

My Aunt Cora likes to hold me. I like that. Doesn't my daddy dress funny when he goes biking? When I get bigger, I hope he doesn't make me wear stuff like that when he takes me biking.

I finally got to meet Auntie Cindy!

After all the hype, all the messages on my blog, and all the stuff I heard from my family, I finally got to meet Auntie Cindy!

She really can make me laugh!

My Baptism Weekend!

Well, that was quite a weekend. I know a lot of my visitors to this website got to see me in person this weekend, so that was fun. I am so glad that they could all make the trip for my big day. I'll be getting more pictures up all week, but keep in mind I got a lot on my plate right now. Today was my first day of school! That went really well, so I am pretty sure I am going to go back tomorrow. Anyway, here is a shot of my in my neat Baptism Outfit. Apparently, my daddy wore this 31 years ago. Can you believe that?!?

Summer time is here!

It has been really hot here the last two weeks. I can't wear all those warm cloths with the long legs and sleeves anymore. Dad bought me this outfit; looks good doesn't it? It is pretty comfy too!

Got to start somewhere...

I guess this is where I start my race car driving career. I am all strapped in with my harness and got my wheels ready to go. All I need is a helmet. Daddy says this is just the start. Eventually he is going to get my a trailer to get pulled around by his bike, then a Big Wheel, then a bike for my own, then karts, then someday maybe a Formula One car. I think he just wants to drive the F1 car someday.

I like to sleep

As you can see by all the pictures where I am sleeping, it is one of my favorite things to do. I don't do it as much as I used to, but when I do I go all out. Lately, I have been sleeping almost (and sometime all) through the night. That seems to make my mom really happy.

My bath!

Well after my shower I decided I wanted to take my own bath in my own tub. I am not sure I am ready for the big shower yet and I can't splash around or play like I can in my little tub! Wow, was it warm outside so did this sure cool me off after going for our walk yesterday...

So I woke up this morning and I guess I was pretty stinky because all of a sudden I was in the shower with my dad! It sure woke me up, but it looks like my dad still needs a few minutes:)
