My Baptism Weekend!

Well, that was quite a weekend. I know a lot of my visitors to this website got to see me in person this weekend, so that was fun. I am so glad that they could all make the trip for my big day. I'll be getting more pictures up all week, but keep in mind I got a lot on my plate right now. Today was my first day of school! That went really well, so I am pretty sure I am going to go back tomorrow. Anyway, here is a shot of my in my neat Baptism Outfit. Apparently, my daddy wore this 31 years ago. Can you believe that?!?

Summer time is here!

It has been really hot here the last two weeks. I can't wear all those warm cloths with the long legs and sleeves anymore. Dad bought me this outfit; looks good doesn't it? It is pretty comfy too!

Got to start somewhere...

I guess this is where I start my race car driving career. I am all strapped in with my harness and got my wheels ready to go. All I need is a helmet. Daddy says this is just the start. Eventually he is going to get my a trailer to get pulled around by his bike, then a Big Wheel, then a bike for my own, then karts, then someday maybe a Formula One car. I think he just wants to drive the F1 car someday.

I like to sleep

As you can see by all the pictures where I am sleeping, it is one of my favorite things to do. I don't do it as much as I used to, but when I do I go all out. Lately, I have been sleeping almost (and sometime all) through the night. That seems to make my mom really happy.

My bath!

Well after my shower I decided I wanted to take my own bath in my own tub. I am not sure I am ready for the big shower yet and I can't splash around or play like I can in my little tub! Wow, was it warm outside so did this sure cool me off after going for our walk yesterday...

Showering with Daddy

So I woke up this morning and I guess I was pretty stinky because all of a sudden I was in the shower with my dad! It sure woke me up, but it looks like my dad still needs a few minutes:)

Nice long weekend!

Wow, what a nice weekend! We did so much I don't even know where to begin! Well my mom bought a jogging stroller so I can go with her on her runs now so we tried that out on some trails along the Potomac River while dad rode his bike. We also went to Rock Creek Park and had a picnic and saw the sites. I even got to see some of the Indy 500 with my dad!

And after our picnic and taking in the sites we took naps... :)

We played games and read stories!

Story Time.....

Oh boy do I just love to hear the stories my mommy tells me of all the crazy antics my dad used to do...just wait till I can talk:)

Big eyes!

Every so often, I see something so unique and so new that it completely takes me by surprise. Tonight, just as this picture was taken, that very thing happened. Tonight, I saw my daddy pick up the dirty dishes and put them in the dishwasher! Can you freakin' believe it?!?

Lounging

Well last night I wasn't feeling to good to say the least after my day at the doctor; despite all the holding and cuddling my mommy gave me I just wasn't up to my usual happy antics. So... my dad came home from work and gave me some red liquidy stuff and stuck inside my cheek. Wow, things were all good after that and I just kicked back the rest of the evening!

May 12th - 2 months old!

Today I am 2 months old! I went to the doctor this morning and I weigh 10lbs 13 oz and am 22 1/2 inches long. I had a good time and was laughing and telling the doctor how great the first 2 months with my mommy and daddy were until a nurse came with some needles. That I didn't like to much and I heard I have to do it again in another 2 months? Not sure about that, but my mommy held my hands the whole time and comforted me afterwards so I am feeling better now and was ready to smile again for the camera!

I can't believe this!

I am really suprised at this, but if you do a Google search for my name ("Colin Griffin"), guess what the #1 response is? That's right! Me! Isn't that amazing?

I still want to hear from my visitors. Post a comment or send me an email! I hope to hear from all my visitors!

A message from my daddy...

I am going to post a message from my daddy:

Greetings everyone! Colin was kind enough to allow me to post a message on his site. As some of you may know, I recently accepted the challenge of cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event. I will be doing a 100 mile ride (a "century") on June 12th because I believe in and support the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. I have had family affected by this disease, as I am sure many of you have as well.

You, too, can help by supporting my fund-raising efforts with a generous contribution. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference to more than 18 million Americans who are affected by diabetes and another 20 million who are at risk for developing diabetes. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on this link here or at the bottom of this post.

Whatever you can give will help! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. The more I raise, the easier it will be for me to make that 100 miles! To find out more information on our Tour de Cure, please visit tour.diabetes.org.

Thanks!

Eric

Tummy Time

Tummy time with grandpa. His is even more round and soft than daddy's is! This is fun!

Smiley Man!

Laughing and smiling is so much fun, especially when my grandma tells me funny stories of my dad when he was my age!

Soft and cozy belly!

Nap time on daddy's belly after working on the yard; daddy and grandpa did a great job so now I have grass to play on! Meanwhile my mommy and grandma planted pretty flowers around the house. Stay tuned for the results!

My Guardian Angels!

I have lots of eyes looking over my well-being. These guys are taking good care of me! :)

Thursday, April 28, 2005

You call that a lawn?

The other day my dad spent some time doing yard work. Like maybe 3 minutes.

Lemons everywhere!

And I thought there was just one of these guys! Where did they all come from and how do I get one of those green leaf tops?

I love bath time!

Bath time is great. I like to just sit back and get all my bath needs taken care of by my parents. I like relaxing in the warm water. I rarely put up a fuss, and if I do its just when I start to get a bit chilled. Then I come out of my tub and get wrapped up in my nice towel!

Just playing around...

In my swing that I can't get enough of.

Let's go outside already; it is beautiful out there!

Ahh, this is the life...

Just swinging around!

This weekend my parents and I took a trip to Babies-R-Us and bought me all kinds of stuff. Here is the swing they got me. I like to swing on the fastest setting; this is the coolest thing I have gotten so far!

What we did...

Did I keep you in suspense? Check out some of the fun things that we did the last 2 weeks while my visitors were here!

I went to visit the Capitol and check out all the Cherry Blossoms that just started blooming. They sure are pretty, but it was a bit too sunny for me.

This was my reaction when we walked into Union Station for the first time that I had actually had my eyes open. Now I see why my mom takes walks here with me. I couldn't believe all the people, shops, restaurants, and this is where my dad takes the metro to go to work!

My Aunt Sonja couldn't get enough of me and was all smiles when she held me.

My Aunt Cora read me stories from the Dr. Seuss books she bought me and I fell right asleep in her arms.

Check out my one of a kind Rita Battaglia original. This lemon on my shirt must be famous because he is everywhere!

All my visitors!

Like I said, I had been pretty busy because I had visitors for 2 weeks straight! Now it is just my mom and dad for awhile, but I am sure these guys will be back soon for some more of me :)

Check them all out....and stay tuned until tomorrow when I show you all that we did!

My favorite aunts! My two Aunts Sonja and Cora spoiled me by buying me some great new outfits, singing and reading to me, and cuddling with me. It was great!

My Bestefar, who had never been to Washington DC before and now he has an excuse to come to our nations capital - me! During the day he went sight seeing and saw all the monuments and checked out the museums. I can't wait to do that too!

My Bestemor, who held me just like this the whole time - good stuff!

Donna, who gave me my first massage; I can't wait until she comes back again :)

Wait until you see the outfit she and her mom gave me. You can kinda see it here, but it truly is a special outfit!

Turena Johnson Lane, who was here running the Cherry Blossom 10 mile race right in our backyard, took some time to come see me. I was honored!

Be sure to check out her results from the race , as she did really well. My daddy was telling me that back in college he was a pretty decent runner, and on a good day he could maybe run that pace for 5 miles. She did it for 10! The top woman from the USA and 6th overall. I would like to think I was a bit of a good-luck-charm!

Funny face

It has been really nice the past week, and I have been going on a lot of walks with my mommy during the day. This past weekend it was really warm, and I thought I might as well strip down and go natural! I liked it, and thought I would show it by making a really funny face.

Let me know who my visitors are!

I really want to hear from all my visitors! I have seen that there are people from over 10 nations from all around the world that have stopped by, and I would love to hear from you. You can leave a comment on the posts here at my blog any time, or send me an email and let me know who are are and where you are from. I hope to hear from all my visitors!

My first smile?

So a few days back my Aunt Cora took this picture of me, thinking it was my first smile. So is it just gas, or am I really finding something funny? I'm not talking...

Why not so many posts lately?

So I understand that a lot of my fans have been disappointed with the lack of new content up here the past week or so. Well, I apologize but I must claim that it has been a busy time. My visitors come and go, my daddy is back at work, and my mommy seems really tired.

There is also something else. You see, we here at the house have not had cable TV since we moved here last year. Keep in mind I was in the womb most of the time, but my parents just had rabbit ears since they got out house in November. Now if you know my daddy, you might find that hard to believe. But it is true! However, that era has come to an end.

My daddy broke down and got cable. And he didn't just get cable, he went crazy and got the digital cable with HD and DVR and all that junk. So its been awesome lately, with TV shows we forgot we liked and all sorts of fun stuff to figure out.

The best part is the DVR (like Tivo) which lets us program and record shows really easy, then blast throw commericals and catch up with everything. My daddy has his Motorola HD-DVR box from Comcast all figured out now, and we are actually able to watch the shows we like in less time. It is so fun!

But at any rate, I got a bunch of stuff I am going to show y'all this weekend, so keep checking back. Thanks, and don't forget to keep in touch!

Another picture of me sleeping.

I have been awake a lot more this past week or so, but I still find time to take naps. For some reason, my parents seem to really enjoy it when I am like this...

Sorry for the lack of updates

I know I have been really bad about updating this blog the past few days. In my defense, I have been pretty busy with lots of visitors to entertain (on top of my usual busy schedule of napping, eating, and other things.)

I have some good pictures to post for everyone's enjoyment, so I promise over the next few days to catch up with the work. Trust me: with my little yellow friend helping me, it will get done...
